Course Description:
The Collective Creation Project (CCP) is a free program for students aged 12-18, created in partnership with Magnus Theatre and students across Thunder Bay. Guided by professional theatre artists, participants collaborate to create an original play that explores a social issue affecting our community. Students take part in every stage of the creative process — from writing and performing to production and touring.
The 2025-2026 program runs from September to March, and is open to all, regardless of ability or prior experience. This season, CCP will debut their production on stage in Magnus Theatre’s Studio Theatre, before touring elementary schools throughout Thunder Bay.
Last year, CCP worked with the Lakehead Social Planning Council and the District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board to present A Parent’s Struggle, a moving play about the daily realities faced by families living on the edge of poverty
