Youth Musical Theatre Workshop (Ages 12-18)

Join us for an exciting musical theatre workshop for young performers aged 12-18. Work with Canadian theatre stars Gabi Epstein and Jeremy Lapalme as they guide you through some essential vocal exercises and the importance of acting through song before working on a musical theatre song of your choice or pick one from our very own playlist. This is a wonderful opportunity for any young people who have an interest in singing or performing musical theatre!

Class runs on Monday, March 4th from 5:30PM - 7:30PM at Magnus Theatre

Hailed “Canada’s Queen of Cabaret” by CTV, Gabi is a DORA award winner and one of Canada's leading stage/cabaret performers best known for playing Audrey in "Little Shop of Horrors" at the Stratford Festival and Fanny Brice in "Funny Girl" at the Segal Centre and in concert for the Harold Green Jewish Theatre. Thunder Bay audiences will remember Gabi rocking out as the Killer Queen in Magnus Theatre’s 2017 production of “We Will Rock You”. She is back to take on the one woman show, TELL ME ON A SUNDAY at Magnus Theatre.

The last time Jeremy tread the boards here at Magnus Theatre, he was playing Sancho in 2022s smash hit "The Man of La Mancha". Some of his theatrical credits include: Spamalot, Young Frankenstein, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, Drinking Habits (Stage West Calgary), Little Shop of Horrors, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Rose Theatre), A Christmas Story (Theatre Orangeville), Fiddler on the Roof, The Little Mermaid (Capitol Theatre) and many others.
