Young Company (Age 12-18)

Magnus Theatre is the only professional theatre between Winnipeg and Barrie. We offer students the unique opportunity to learn about theatre in a welcoming and supportive space, guided by trained and experienced theatre professionals. Young Company gives participants a glimpse into the world of professional stage acting - from the audition process to the rehearsal hall and then performing for live audiences on the Magnus Theatre stage.

Supported by Magnus’ team of professional designers and technicians, the cast will develop foundational theatre skills and then demonstrate what they’ve learned in a full-length production in spring 2024. Last season saw Young Company actors perform Broadway and West End classic The 39 Steps to enthusiastic audiences on the Magnus Theatre Outdoor Stage. Members of Young Company get access to free or discounted access to other Magnus TIE workshops and masterclasses as well as free membership to our brand-new Student Club season ticket program.
